Amazon Associates (US)

Affiliate programs · Official page, excerpt only · last checked 2026-10-17

Amazon's affiliate program. Approval is tied to sales you drive after you sign up, and to a review of the sites you list.

Requirements as stated on the source

After you sign up, Amazon checks your application 'once you've driven qualified sales (we require at least three within the first 180 days)'. Personal orders do not qualify.
All sites you list must have robust original content ('a good rule of thumb is at least 10 posts') and be publicly available (not a closed group or behind a paywall).
For social pages Amazon says the page must be established with 'a substantive number of organic followers/likes (in most cases, at least 500)' and public.

Process

Apply, then drive three qualifying sales within 180 days. Amazon: 'we aren't able to reassess an application once it's been rejected.'

Notes and caveats

The same help topic also lists which social networks are accepted; the list in the excerpt we saw may be out of date, check the live page.
Amazon's Operating Agreement allows it to change terms with notice; see the agreement page.
