Snapchat Monetization Program
Snapchat's invite-only program that shares ad revenue with established creators on Stories and Spotlight.
Requirements as stated on the source
- Have at least 50,000 followers.
- Achieve 15,000 hours of view time over the last 28 days, with at least 3,000 of those hours coming from Spotlight.
- Be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your country.
- Publish original, advertiser-friendly content that follows Snapchat's Community Guidelines and Content Guidelines for Recommendation Eligibility.
- Reside in an eligible country.
- Be a Snap Star.
- Comply with Snap's Monetization Terms and Creator Monetization Policy.
Process
You cannot apply. The page says Snap regularly reviews creators and emails those it invites; it says Snap accepts no payment for an invitation. Meeting the criteria makes you eligible for invitation only.
Notes and caveats
- Snap's Monetization Terms say the program is open by invitation only and that meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee an invitation.
- The page says that beginning May 7, 2026 you must maintain at least 100 hours of Total Spotlight View Time over the last 28 days to qualify for maximum Creator Rewards.
- A Snap newsroom post announcing the unified program (changes beginning February 1, 2025) lists different criteria (50,000 followers, at least 25 posts a month, posting on 10 of the last 28 days, and one of 10 million Snap views, 1 million Spotlight views or 12,000 hours of view time). We use the current Snapchat Support page; check the app for what applies to your account.
- The checker below models followers, total view hours and Spotlight hours; the other conditions are not modeled.
