Spotify Partner Program (podcasts)
Spotify for Creators' program that pays podcast creators from Spotify Premium video streams and from ads Spotify inserts.
Requirements as stated on the source
- Host your show on Spotify for Creators.
- Have a legal address in one of the eligible markets (the page lists Canada and the United States among them).
- Have published at least 3 episodes.
- Hit at least 2,000 consumption hours on Spotify in the last 30 days.
- Hit at least 1,000 audience count on Spotify in the last 30 days.
Process
Check eligibility on the Monetize page in Spotify for Creators, click Apply now and accept the Spotify Partner Program Terms. Spotify reviews your content against its monetization policies; if approved you set up 2-step verification and Spotify Payouts.
Notes and caveats
- The page says eligibility criteria may change at any time and that additional requirements apply, including that the show must comply with Spotify Partner Program monetization policies.
- To stay eligible the page says a show must, in any 6-month period, have published an episode and have earned at least $10.
- Spotify's newsroom post dated 2026-01-07 says it broadened the thresholds: from 2,000 listeners to 1,000 engaged audience members, from 10,000 hours to 2,000 hours consumed, and from 12 published episodes to 3.
- The page says the program becomes available on October 20, 2026 in more markets (listed on the page).
- The checker below models only audience count and hours; the 3-episode condition is not modeled.
